This phrase roughly translates to “enjoy your meal”, but for us, it means so much more than that. We are a family, serving the best quality food to your family.
By the end of 1979, El Pollo Loco had grown to 85 restaurants in 20 cities throughout Northern Mexico. Founder Pancho had won over the taste buds of his native country, but he had even bigger dreams northward. In 1980, the first El Pollo Loco in the United States opened its doors in Los Angeles, California, conquering palates with its new and unique flavor.
